Combine the heavy cream, milk, two thirds of the sugar (just reserve a couple of tablespoons), vanilla extract and salt in a medium saucepan. Hull the strawberries and purée in a blender or food processor until smooth. Prepare the strawberry puree and the ice cream base, then put them together and after 5 hours in the freezer, you’ll be digging into the best ice cream ever!

About a little more of 1/2 cup or so. Add the prepared strawberries to the cooled custard. Keep stored in the freezer for up to 6 weeks.

Next, stir in vanilla, heavy cream and milk. Add the diced strawberries into the pureed mixture. Swirl some into yellow cake batter just before baking for natural berry flavors.

Pour the mixture into the canister of the ice cream maker. Mix until combined and even in color. Cook for about 8 minutes, stirring frequently until the strawberries break down a bit and the sauce thickens.

In a large mixing bowl, beat the eggs. Blend the rest of the strawberries, and 1/4 cup of sugar, and puree until smooth. Place the canister into the ice cream maker, and layer the ice and rock salt all around it.

Next, add the heavy cream and milk, and mix again. Whisk the sugar and egg yolks in a bowl for a minute or two until pale yellow. Add the frozen banana, strawberry puree (or strawberries) in a blender or a food processor.

Add more sugar as desired and continue to cook long enough for the sugar to dissolve and mix in with the berries (usually about a minute). Warm the cream and milk in a pan until just steaming, not boiling. Frost cake with cream cheese icing for a hint of creamy tartness that balances out the strawberry flavor.

Using a 1/3 measuring cup, add some of the hot milk/cream mixture to the egg yolks, and whisk while you combine. Gradually pour the hot cream into the egg yolk mixture, whisking constantly. Wash and hull strawberries if needed.

Slice clean berries into quarters and sprinkle with 2 tbsp of sugar and stir gently. Pour strawberry puree into a large bowl and add sugar. Enjoy ripe, red, juicy strawberries during their short season.

Pour into a large bowl, and set aside. In a large bowl, whisk together the sugar, egg yolks, remaining 1/4 cup cream, and corn syrup. Pour into your prepped ice cream maker and churn for 20 minutes or as directed per individual machine instructions.
